"WELCOME RODEO FANS"
Hi, my name is Becky Kearney and I am the 2008 King County Princess on the Ellensburg Rodeo Royal Court. I am 17 years old and a senior at Monroe High School. I am excited about the responsibility of representing the Ellensburg Rodeo as the 2008 King County Princess. I can't think of a better way of expressing my enthusiasm for rodeo, agriculture, youth activities, and public relations. Ever since I was a little girl and I would go to the rodeos, I remember the deep down excitement that I would have when the rodeo royalty would enter the arena! They were the link between the audience and the participants. They were the ones to generate enthusiasm and excitement!
I believe that I will be an excellent representative for the Ellensburg Rodeo as their 2008 King County Princess. It is the life lessons that I have learned from being involved in all of my past agricultural and animal activities that are most important. From those activities I have learned the value of hard work, responsibility, dedication, being a team player, and dealing with dissapointment. This combination of activities has made me a well rounded individual who will use all her skills to maintain and enhance the standards expected of the Ellensburg Rodeo and its Royalty.
I look ahead to my year as the King County Princess on the Ellensburg Rodeo Royal Court, and I am excited to have the opportunity to be an ambassador for one of the top rodeos in the nation. If you happen to see me in my travels across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with my Appaloosa mare, Dotty, please be sure to come up and give a Howdy. I look forward to everyone taking a "Ride on the Wild Side" with me at the Ellensburg Rodeo on Labor Day weekend.
Sincerely,
2008 King County Princess Becky Kearney
